Cybersecurity-Law-and-Regulation

The campus of Algebra Bernays University hosted a professional lecture organized by the IT Pro User Group Zagreb, bringing together IT professionals interested in current cybersecurity challenges and regulatory developments.

The lecture focused on the Cybersecurity Law and Regulation (ZKS), with particular emphasis on the practical requirements organizations must meet to comply with the evolving regulatory framework. Participants gained valuable insights into how these requirements can be implemented effectively in real-world business environments.

The event attracted a diverse audience of IT professionals, including system administrators, developers, and cybersecurity specialists working across technical and operational domains.

The session was delivered by Danko Pigac, an experienced consultant specializing in GDPR and information security, with extensive expertise in telecommunications and business consulting. Through practical examples and case-based discussions, he translated complex regulatory concepts into actionable guidance and highlighted the challenges organizations commonly face in practice.

During the event, the CADMUS Project was also presented as an important initiative supporting cybersecurity capacity building. The project provides opportunities to strengthen knowledge and practical skills through hands-on workshops and cyber range exercises designed to simulate real-world scenarios.

The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and industry experts in strengthening cyber resilience. Partnerships fostered through the CADMUS project and institutions such as Algebra Bernays University contribute significantly to advancing both cybersecurity knowledge and practical competencies.
